Purple and Grey

Purple and grey are two of my most favorite colors...I love to wear anything in grey but this is actually the only piece of clothing I own in purple. I got this pretty asymmetrical cardigan as a gift from my sister for Christmas...it's so soft and comfy. I thought it would look great with the flower brooch I made earlier that day...I think it pulls everything together. Anyway I think it's funny how I hardly own any clothing in my favorite colors. My closet is overflowing with black...it's seems to be my go to color. What colors do you like to wear the most?

The Best of Both

Last night me and the boyfriend went to go watch Black Swan...I loved it, the movie was completely twisted and Natalie Portman really put on a performance. In the movie, Natalie Portman's character struggles to be both the white swan and the black swan for her starring role in a ballet. The white swan is the pure, beautiful, delicate one while the black swan is the seductive, on fire, evil one. It made me think...was I more of the white swan or the black swan...maybe a little of both? Which swan are you?

It finally started to get cooler outside...I can't wait for the temperature to really drop. This warm weather is about the only thing that doesn't feel like Christmas. Anyway I'm so happy that all my gifts are wrapped and under the tree. I think this is the first year I'm not going to be up at late hours still wrapping gifts so I'm pretty proud of myself. Well I can finally enjoy myself, I'll be spending my time with my family. Just want to wish everyone a Happy Holiday!!

Dancing Dreams

Going to see the Nutcracker is a tradition in my family. As many times as I've seen it, I've never gotten tired of watching the beautiful ballerinas dance on their tip toes and spin across the stage. They just inspire me and make me want to start dancing again. I always wanted to be a sugar plum fairy...I'm head over heels for their costume. It's always fun to get dressed for the ballet and it always feels a lot like Christmas

Sequins and Reindeer

 When I saw this post on 100 layer cake I had to share. This is just in time for Christmas and puts me in the holiday spirit. What's not to love about this? There are s'mores, sequin stockings, ornaments hanging from deer antlers, and what about that dress? It's so colorful, sparkly, and absolutely gorgeous...I'm in love. Wouldn't this be a fun way to decorate for a holiday party?

New Beginnings

Welcome to Sea of Blooming Dreams! With the new year approaching, ( I can't even believe how fast this year has gone by) I thought I would start a new blog. I felt it was a good time because it's such a happy time of the year with all of the holidays like Christmas and the New Year. It's the one time nobody is afraid to cover themselves in sequins and I love everything glitzy and glamourous.
