Denim + Lace

Top: Langford Market, Jeans: PacSun, Heels: Poshmark find but from Old Navy, Purse: Lulus
So the strangest thing has been happening to me and I've actually been buying more and more jeans. I own about 5 pairs now and I have to say that I am pretty impressed with myself with adding them into my wardrobe. I used to have only one pair for the longest! I think getting more than one pair had something to do with the fact that my thighs rubbed holes into these. Sadly another pair of jeans bites the dust.  Anyone else have that problem? If you don't, lucky you.....I'm soooo jealous.

Dress, Heels, & Confetti

Dress: thrifted, Heels: Simply Vera Wang, Necklace: Rue 21, Clutch: Ban.do
Hey everyone, I've been wanting to share this outfit for quite some time on the blog. I've worn this dress with a blouse layered over it but it's just as good all by itself. This was one of the outfits that I took with me to blogger camp...yeah way back in March. I told you it's been a long time. I guess only this time around I wore it with heels...we couldn't take heels with us to camp! What!?! I know...but I survived a weekend hanging around in flats. If you follow me on instagram then you probably have seen my black glitter flats that I bought for camp specifically and now I kind of almost live in them. Pointed flats have grown on me but my heart will always be with heels. These nude ones were a Christmas gift that I know are going to be a summer favorite!

Everyday Grey

Top: Forever 21, Skirt: Langford Market, Heels: Rebecca Minkoff, Necklace: Forever 21, Purse: Rue 21
Hey y'all. How's it going???  I'm currently in the middle of a two month shopping break right now. I felt like I was getting a new package at least once a week and was like whoa! I need a break. It's actually going quite well and it feels nice to keep a few extra bucks in my wallet :) This grey top was the last thing I bought and it goes with everrrrrything. I love it. I won't lie, I think I wore it about four times the first week that I had it. Over a dress, under a romper, layered over a longer top, and with this skirt...like I said, everything. ha!

Happy Days

Oh hey y'all. It's been awhile...what's happening? I've actually just have been taking it easy. March has always been one of the craziest/busiest months for me. I went to blogger camp!!! That was sooooo much fun. We celebrated Chris' birthday last week. Did you see the pic on instagram of his birthday taco that I surprised him with? Funny story but  I woke him up by walking into the room while singing him happy birthday and holding his candlelit taco in my hand. He blew out the candles and then...I sprayed silly string at him. Is that mean? no, okay cool. In all fairness, Chris always puts cake on my face for my birthday. One time he even did it to me on his birthday. lol anyhow just this past weekend we celebrated our one year wedding anniversary. I've always known that time goes by fast but oh my this one really caught up one me. We actually got married on our dating anniversary so Sunday was also 12 years being together...March 29th is a really great day.

Stripes with a Slit

Blouse: Forever 21, Skirt: Thrifted, Flats: Target
I used to have this black maxi skirt that every time I wore it, Chris would kind of laugh at it in the kindest way. I think that maxi skirts remind him of an old fashioned lady and he just doesn't really get it. guys. Anyways, this past weekend I wore this striped maxi for the first time and Chris came into the room and saw me from behind. He said something along the lines of "oh you have one of those skirts again" My response was, "yeah, I just bought it" and in my head I was thinking "just wait till you see the front". Sure enough he was in the truck first waiting on me to come out of the house. I payed special attention to his face when I walked out because I wanted to see his reaction and he had a surprised look. When I got into the truck he was like, "whoa, that's not at all like your black skirt...i like it". lol so lesson here ladies, if your guy doesn't get the whole maxi skirt thing, buy one with a slit and change his perspective.

A Little Bit of Glam

Dress worn as top: Marshalls, Skirt: Forever 21, Shoes: NastyGal, Necklace: Poshmark Find
This is my everyday kind of look...you can usually find me in some sort of skirt and heels. I'm always looking for something to dress up my go to look and I recently found this necklace. It's the absolute best statement necklace I own. I mean how does it get better than glitzy lips? I wore this out to a movie date with Chris and a little bit of shopping. I'm heading to Austin in about two weeks and I think I've finally got my wardrobe for that weekend all picked out. I can't wait to share those outfits with you, I've got some good stuff planned.

Casual Best

Tee: Forever 21, Jeans: Forever 21, Purse: NastyGal
Chris and I recently went to Chuck E. Cheese's for our niece's 1st birthday party. I hadn't been there in years and it was fun to celebrate over delicious pizza, cake, and arcade games. It took me back to when I was still in high school and Chris and I went there with some friends pretending it was Chris's birthday just to be silly...I think we were sixteen, maybe 17? Anyway it was good night. I wanted to go in something casual so I wouldn't have to fuss with a short skirt while playing games. This was my casual best, a knotted tee and skinny black jeans...and of course I had to add a little something something with my spiked heels and faux fur purse!

Fun & Flirty

Jacket: ?, Blouse: Target, Dress: Poshmark Find, Booties: H&M
I tend to shop for occasions...right now I'm currently shopping for an upcoming Austin trip. This dress was purchased in mind with wearing it for Valentines Day. Well, we all know that didn't happen, which doesn't surprise me because if I'm shopping for occasion, I usually over shop. I ended up wearing this dress this past weekend when we actually had some unexpected nice weather. Score! Because honestly, this dress is just too fun and flirty that I couldn't wait to wear it!

Spot On

Hey everyone, it's been awhile...well only a week but in the blog world that can feel like a long time right? This is actually my outfit from Valentines Day that I really wanted to share. It's funny because it's nothing like what I planned on wearing...do you remember my outfit inspiration? Yeah there wasn't any animal print in there lol. This was a very last minute outfit that I just decided to go with. Chris and I threw a Valentines Day dance for mine and his family and a few close friends. There were glittered hanging hearts, balloon garlands, chocolate covered strawberries, a neon light heart backdrop, shots,  dancing selfies, and really good music. It was a total blast and we danced into the early morning hours. Oh and yes, these Litas stayed on my feet all night long and my feet didn't even hurt a bit...most comfortable platforms ever!

Florals and Lace

Dress worn as top: Kohls, Skirt: Closet Swapped, Tights: Target, Heels: Kohls, Simply Vera Wang
The other day after work, Chris told me...get dressed. I'm taking you out for dinner. I quickly opened up my closet door and started changing in and out of a few pieces before I was like wait...where are we going? He didn't tell me and this was the outfit I settled on. I'm really over the cold weather and while I had to wear tights, I wanted to dress in something really springy. We ended up going out to a fancy burger joint...there really isn't a better way to end the day than with a yummy cheeseburger and some sweet potato fries. Such a good unexpected date night.
Muah! Hope you all have a happy weekend!!
