A Month of Florals // Rose Straw Topper + Printable

With summer in full swing, the last few days have been feeling outrageously hot. So cooling up on  water has been an all day everyday kind of thing. Lemon and strawberry infused water has been a recent favorite to keep hydrated. I drew out these rose straw toppers to make my water just a bit more fun because that's how I do things around here.
Want to make your drinks pretty too? Get the printable here

Life Lately

Had this yummy thing right here in celebration of National Ice Cream Sandwich Day! And because everything is better with sprinkles, you know I added some.
 2. On a girls shopping trip.
3. Pretty things I've been wearing...that perfume is my favorite.
4. I asked Chris for this Naked 2 pallette for Christmas...trying to use it more often.
5. My usual at Starbucks is a unsweetened green tea. I hadn't had a frap in what feels like 2 years and decided to give the green tea one a try...not bad.
 6. Chris bought me these pretty flowers...he's the sweetest.
7. This was my late night selfie...trying to stay on top of things.
8. I've been drinking lemon water a lot lately. Snapped this pic because look at how cute Scar looks. He never looks at the camera for me.
9. Catching up on magazine reads in my lace leggings.
10. We went to another concert this weekend...Korn & Avengend Sevenfold. This was after all the crazy good madness.

Hair Tutorial // Pancake Braid

I like this braid because if you know how to do a braid then you can do it. There's no crazy grabbing hair from another section or crossing your fingers all sorts of ways. No, this is simple. It works great with long hair..oh how I can't wait for my hair to get long again. Why does hair take so long to grow? Do you have secrets to growing hair faster? Please share...oh please do. Even if my hair isn't long and it's pretty thin, I really like the look of this fluffed out and flattened braid. Super easy, you need to give it a try.
1. Pull hair to one side.
2. Braid you hair. Don't rubber band it yet.
3. Tug at the outsides of your braid to "fluff" it out with one hand while still holding the end of your braid with the other hand.
4. Your braid will shorten and should like mine in the picture above.
Rubber band it and you're all done.

Simple Dressing

I've always liked the kind of dress that's simple and comfortable enough to just throw on but still has that really fun element to it that makes you feel like you're not being lazy about getting dressed. On Sundays I'm pretty lazy...I'm not only one right? What I love about this dress so much is the floral pattern...it's bold and black and white...like my favorite colors to wear. I usually switch out the shoes, add a belt, or sometimes wear another skirt over the dress to change it up when I want to put in more effort...but for a simple day of running around getting errands done...this was perfect. No fuss, just a dress and some cute heels.
I just kinda like this picture because of Scar's face...like you better watch yourself with those spiked heels. lol
