The Lucky One

I remember when I first started this blog I would use my point and shoot camera to take all of my photos. It was a constant routine of set the 10 second timer, run in front of the camera, and repeat until I got a few shots I liked...which could sometimes take what seemed like forever. For our anniversary last year, I was pretty much the happiest girl when Chris gave me a DSLR camera. Since then, he takes all of my photos of what I'm wearing (and now I feel like one of the luckiest girls to not have to worry about setting a timer). This whole other creative side of him has come out through photography and I always enjoy going back and looking at the photos after a "shoot". Here are a few favorites from not too long ago.

Just for the record, I think he's pretty amazing.

  1. Aw...the model and the photographer. You look so pretty in these photographs. I think it really helps to have someone you love taking pictures. Personally, I feel WAY more comfortable having my boyfriend take my pics than someone else. I think pictures come out better (and less awkward) that way. Although I do wish I had a tripod sometimes...lol.

  2. That's so awesome how he supports you in this! I know, a DSLR makes all the difference, huh? Haha, I totally did the same routine when I first started my blog xD I still cringe to look back at the first few months of posts...
Ah well. I think we've both come a long ways ;)

  3. Oh yes, I think he is an amazing photographer. It's the same with me and my bf too. He got me my 1st DSLR 2 years ago and he had to be my photographer for this blog. That's where he developed his photography skill as well.
You have some amazing sunset pictures =)

I've always wondered how other people take their photos and it's good to know that you have the same problems as I do ;) Still, would you mind sharing a few tricks?
You can be so happy to have a boyfriend like that! Seriously, don't let go :DDD

  14. I think it's sweet that so many boyfriends/husbands take pictures for their lady's style blog. My friend does it but it would be cool to see my non-creative bf take a shot at it! Anyways, I like you blog! Follow each other? <3
