Day to Night//Military Jacket

Every year I see this style of a military jacket and every year I never get one. But this year, I'm determined to add that beautiful olive green to my closet. Until it actually does become a part of my wardrobe, this is how I'm dreaming of taking it from day to night.

Day
1. A pink ice cream cone tee just lets the world know that you're the kind of girl that likes to have fun.
2. My go to style for jeans, skinny and dark.
3. I always love a good nude heel, textured caps are just a bonus.

Night
1. Dainty polka dots...simple and sweet.
2. Add a little drama with statement jewels, let your inner royal come out.
3. Keep things classy with pointed black heels.
4. Dreamy tulle skirts dress up anything. Feel fancy all night long in a skirt like this.

Which look would you wear? Day? Night? or Both?

Day to Night//Cut Out Crop Top

I recently purchased a cut out crop top on sale and since it's hot out here in Texas I still have time to to wear it. With crop tops I always think it's best to balance out your look by wearing pants or a longer skirt. Oh and if the temperature is starting to cool down and you think a crop top wouldn't work for you anymore, try layering over a structured peplum top. It's all about transitioning from summer to fall and the ruffled bottom of your peplum will give it an extra flirty feel.

Day
1. For days I like to keep jewelry simple...sparkly studs will do just fine.
2. My favorite way to add drama to a daytime look...red lipstick.
3. Love the peachy color of these pointed flats.
4. Dark wash skinnies are my go to style for a comfortable day look.

Night
1. This necklace is a true beaded beauty. 3 strands + gorgeous color = perfect statement piece.
2. A midi skirt in a bold color is fun and a great bonus if it makes the colors of your crop top pop...whew say that one three time fast. tongue twister anyone? lol
3. A classic black heel always makes me feel polished...a must for a dressy night out.

Day to Night//Wrap Skirt

Day
1. An oversized tank feels casual...loving the statement written across this one that gives a carefree attitude.
2. Reflective shades...the golden tint has a summer day kind of glow.
3. Brown ankle boots...I've been obsessed with these for awhile...the scuffed brown is perfection.

Night
1. Stripes are my favorite and a cut-out above the bust doesn't hurt either to add a bit of sex appeal for a night out.
2. Make an over the top statement with a punchy bag full of color.
3. These heels are sleek with thin straps...your legs will look amazing in them.

Day to Night//Stripe Tee

It's been awhile since I've done a day to night post but when I noticed I was wearing one of my favorite tees all the time I decided it would be fun to make a set with a stripe tee. Stripes are my absolute favorite and I think almost everyone has one in their closet, they are just so versatile.
For a daytime look, I like to keep my stripes casual with some denim shorts and flats. Denim, black, and olive has quickly become one of my favorite color combinations...I love this studded vest with a stripe tee.
A skirt is always key to dressing up a simple tee especially when paired with statement pieces. I think this look is fun with neutrals and pops of color...I'm pretty much in love with this neon bag. For a night time look I also go with shoes that are going to give me extra height and elongate my legs...loving the gold detail on these wedges.

Do you have a stripe tee in your closet? Which look would you wear? Day or Night...maybe both?

Hope you all have a lovely weekend

Day to Night: Lace Top

I love lace, it always has that romantic girly kind of feel. I happen to think that lace looks good with just about anything so you can easily take it from day to night. For day I love being able to mix such a romantic girly kind of top with jeans for a casual look.  For night I would take it up a notch and dress it up with a long maxi for a holiday party.

Day
1. I think it would be fun to add some interest to a day look by mixing stripes and lace together.
2. How amazing is this necklace!?! It gives off just the right pop of color.
3. Black flats...simple, cute and practical for taking care of errands.
4. When I wear jeans, I like them dark. Love the classic look of straight leg ones.

Night
1. An embroidered clutch...this one has pretty colored details.
2. A maxi skirt is perfect for the cooler weather and this jewel color is gorgeous.
3. Red for a night out, one of my favorite things to wear to add instant glam to any look.
4. Heels will add some extra length under a maxi and I love the gold cap detail on these.

Day to Night: Plaid Button Up

As it starts to get cooler I always find myself wanting to wear plaid. Although I hardly ever have...for some reason I just want to. I guess it's a sign I need to add it to my closet. Here's how I would style it for a day to night look.

Day
This outfit seems like the kind of outfit I would want to wear for running errands all day and then stopping by Starbucks for a pumpkin spice latte...yum.
1. A cute pair of shades.
2. A scarf that's cozy enough to keep you warm when it gets a bit too
chilly, a mustard color one would be my pick.
3. I'm loving these boots and their chunky heel, I would pair them under jeans and
even with skinny jeans or leggings or...ok I'm getting carried away.
4. Jeans with a good flare...I'm usually all about dark jeans but I think a lighter
pair has a better casual feel.

Night
I think this outfit has a nice contrast by keeping everything else all black. It really shows off a casual and polished mix for an interesting night look.
1. A purse that's fun for a night out...tassles? yes please!
2.  A black skirt with length. I would try a leather one, it's one of my favorite trends this season.
3. Basic black booties look good with everything and gives the look more of an edge.
4. Sparkly bobbies...perfect for dressing up your hair.

Day to Night: Pencil Skirt

During the week you will most likely find me in a pencil skirt. It's my everyday look for work but I think pencil skirts can work for any occasion. Here's I would style a pencil skirt (in oxblood, a favorite color this season) for a day to night look.

Day
1. Keep it casual with a basic tee...knot it up or tuck it in.
2. A Statement necklace is perfect to add some personality to a day look...I like one's with a bit of sparkle.
3. Cute flats...leopard ones have been my favorite this season.

Night:
1. Look ultra sexy for a night out by paring your pencil skirt with a bustier corset top. Showing off some skin balances out with the length of the skirt.
2. A sleek looking clutch looks polished and dressed up with bold gold details.
3. Heels with some serious height...ankle straps always make me feel a bit more glamourous.

Day to Night: Leather Skirt

While shopping during fashion night out, I came across the most gorgeous leather skirt. It was orange and pleated I knew it would be perfect for the fall season. Too bad it was a bit out of my price range but a girl can dream right? If I had one this is how I would style it for a day to night kind of look. I think that by having just a pop of color makes for a fun daytime look and an embellished top keeps the look dressed up. Last time I did one of these post on black jeans, I ended up buying black jeans so hopefully a leather skirt is in my closet very soon.

Day to Night: Black Jeans

I think pretty much everyone has a pair of black jeans. Ok I'll make a confession, maybe not me but I'm working on that. Hopefully this weekend, I'll be buying me a pair. I love the look of black jeans because they are so easy to style for a casual or dressed up look. Here's how I would wear black jeans from day to night.

For a day time outfit: I would pair black jeans with a knotted up tee in a bold color...fun sayings just make it better. Cute accessories like heart sunnies, simple studs, and summer like wedges keep the look feeling casual.
For a night time outfit: I think a peplum top adds a classy look to anything, so it's perfect to dress up black jeans and then with a sexy pair of heels you can't go wrong. Add just a bit of sparkle for some earrings and swipe on some red lipstick. This shade is Ruby Woo, one of my favorite reds.
