Spot On

Hey everyone, it's been awhile...well only a week but in the blog world that can feel like a long time right? This is actually my outfit from Valentines Day that I really wanted to share. It's funny because it's nothing like what I planned on wearing...do you remember my outfit inspiration? Yeah there wasn't any animal print in there lol. This was a very last minute outfit that I just decided to go with. Chris and I threw a Valentines Day dance for mine and his family and a few close friends. There were glittered hanging hearts, balloon garlands, chocolate covered strawberries, a neon light heart backdrop, shots,  dancing selfies, and really good music. It was a total blast and we danced into the early morning hours. Oh and yes, these Litas stayed on my feet all night long and my feet didn't even hurt a bit...most comfortable platforms ever!

Gimmie What I Want // June Wish List

the dress
I think on everyone's wish list is that perfect summer dress. For me, it's this one. I'm a stripes girl all the way and I love that this dress switches the stripes directions from the bodice to the skirt...oh and a fun bow detail doesn't hurt either.

the shoes
I'm having a huge thing for ankle straps on shoes these days...I'd say more than half of the ones I already own have them. I'm loving this neutral color block combination of these heels and they would go with pretty much any summer outfit.

the accessory
Okay, so neon is one of the things that NEEDS to get in my closet this summer. I've been wanting to have something neon to just give that pop to outfits like a classic tee and jeans. I think this neon yellow bag would look good hanging off my shoulder, right?

What's on your current wish list?

Just Like Magic

Dress worn as a blouse: Kohls, Skirt: Kohls, Heels: Nine West, Clutch: Jenny Packham
It's funny how sometimes when you've been living in one place for so long and then out of nowhere you discover something magical. That's kind of the way this building is for me. I'm in l.o.v.e. with it...there's something about the color that is stunning to me. For mother's day my siblings and I decided to take a photo of all of us for my mom as a surprise gift. That whole week we had been trying to get together but bad weather kept getting in the way...pouring rains, awful winds, and gloomy skies but then Saturday morning everything just fell into place. The sun came out and we found this place and everything was perfect.
Do you ever discover new places in your city?

Peanut Butter Cup Nutella Cakes

Remember how I mentioned that my sis had made this amazing cake for my bridal shower? Well, this is it! Just slightly modified :) She actually frosted the cake and used this glorious nutella + peanut butter cup deliciousness as a filling only. I'm using it to top the cake as well. I ended up making these in mini cake form just for the fact that I've been wanting to try it out for sometime and I wanted to have a whole cake for myself! j/k. But seriously, things are just more cute in mini form right? If you love chocolate, this is your cake. Your welcome :)
What you need to make: Chocolate cake mix, nutella, reese's peanut butter cups
Bake cake in a can to make mini cakes
Cut your mini cake into four slices
Spread nutella on cake
Cut peanut butter cups into fours and add on top of nutella
Add a cute topper or double up and make a 2 layer mini cake
enjoy! this tastes so good!

One of Those Things

Dress (worn as a top): Target, Skirt: Langford Market, Heels: Image, Purse: Marshalls
So this is the skirt that I just couldn't leave the store without when we went to Austin in January. It was one of those things that you knew if you left the store without it, you would regret it later. One of those things that when you went back home you would have thought..."gosh, this blouse would have looked really good with that skirt I didn't buy", so naturally I had to get it. I fell really hard for the double layer and mixture of textures...oh isn't it just the prettiest? I've been patiently waiting to wear it for a warm day. When that day finally came, me and Chris went out for lunch and a movie date <3

Sweater Weather

Sweater: Thrifted, Leggings: c/o Persunmall, Bag: Marshalls, Heels: Image
Hey everyone!! Doesn't it feel like it's been forever...ok not really, but I have missed hanging around here. Well, not to worry. This weekend will be the beginning of some changes that should get this little blog going in the right direction. The past few days weeks I've been brainstorming, letting my hamster run with ideas and new material to share with you all...some exciting stuff!! So anyway, I wore this outfit to meet Chris for lunch not too long ago. I love these leather like leggings I got from Persunmall...they are so comfortable and go with just about everything in my closet. It was a bit chilly outside this day so I wore a chunky sweater with it. How are you wearing your leggings this season??
