I hope you all had a lovely weekend.
I had a lot of fun showing you all how I like to experiment with my clothing to get more ways out of wearing it, so I thought I would do it again.
Pulling up the lining is hands down my favorite way to wear this skirt. I love that it has an edgier feel to it and it's so much more interesting that a plain solid skirt. If you have a maxi that has a sheer layer, definitely try this out. It's a great way to take a long skirt and really make it work for all those hot summer days.
I've always tried the dress as a skirt look but this was my first time reversing the roles. It's a fun way to try the midi trend that has been around lately without having to spend money on it. This kind of look has endless possibilities...you can pair it with a knotted up tee, a crop cardigan like me, or belt it up. Whatever is more your style, just make sure to cinch in your waist so you don't become shapeless.
This is a fun look to completely transform your maxi skirt. When I first did this, I fell for the drape and the asymmetrical hem line...I think it gives the skirt so much character. All it took was a chunky knot....so simple. If you do try the knotted up look just make sure to tie above your knees so that you can easily walk around.
Look 1: Top: Thrifted, Bralette: DIY, Skirt: F21 Look 2: Cardigan: Thrifted, Skirt worn as dress: F21,
Look 3: Top & Skirt: F21, Belt: Thrifted

I think I like the knot the most out of all three looks although I kinda like it as a standalone skirt too.
ReplyDeletesuch a cool idea to create three different looks with one black skirt! I think I love all your variants but maybe the second one is the greatest of all :P
